In SafeHands Exhibition
Opening Friday 7th June, the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, BC. will feature the photographic work of SafeHands’ Founder Director, Nancy Durrell McKenna.
The exhibition, In SafeHands, will provide audiences with an intimate and confronting look at some of the most prominent issues affecting women’s health globally.
“For over 30 years, I have photographed and filmed women, children, and their communities in more than 50 countries. In this time, I have seen first-hand the consequences of struggling health systems and the enormous impact that modest interventions can have on the lives of women” says Nancy. “I am honoured to have this opportunity to share a small reflection of what I have learned over the years.”
The following is a selection of photos on display at the exhibition:
Nancy will also be launching the second edition of her photographic book In SafeHands. Books will be available to purchase, at the Museum's bookshop for CDN $70 with all proceeds going to support SafeHands.
In SafeHands photographic exhibition has been generously sponsored by Gwendolyn Page.
Exhibition dates: 7th June -29th August.
